Material Composition

Welded mesh panels are primarily fabricated from high-quality low-carbon steel wire, offering excellent weldability and structural integrity. For environments with high corrosion exposure or stringent hygiene requirements—such as food processing facilities—stainless steel wire is used as a durable alternative. To further enhance longevity and resistance to rust, chemicals, and weathering, various surface treatments are applied, including electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing, PVC coating, and powder spraying. Galvanization forms a protective zinc layer that sacrificially shields the base metal, while PVC coatings provide an additional barrier against corrosion and allow for aesthetic customization in colors such as green, yellow, and blue.

Manufacturing Process

The production of welded mesh panels follows a highly automated and precision-controlled process. Raw steel wires are first straightened and cut to specified lengths. These wires are then arranged in parallel longitudinal and transverse configurations. Using advanced electric-resistance welding technology, the wires are fused at each intersection point, ensuring uniform joint strength and dimensional accuracy across the entire panel. After welding, the mesh undergoes surface treatment: galvanized panels are either electroplated or immersed in molten zinc baths, while PVC-coated variants are coated with plastic powder and thermally cured to form a smooth, durable layer. Finally, the finished panels are cut to custom dimensions or wound into coils, ready for packaging and shipment.

Specifications

Welded mesh panels are highly customizable to meet a wide range of functional and structural requirements:

Wire Diameter

Available from 0.45mm to 12mm, with diameters of 4mm–12mm typically used for heavy-duty reinforcement in construction, and 0.6mm–6mm suited for fencing and light industrial applications.

Grid Sizes

Square openings range from 1mm to 200mm, with common configurations including 100×100mm, 150×150mm, and 200×200mm for structural use, and 50×200mm for fencing. Rectangular patterns such as 1″×1/2″ are also available for specialized needs.

Panel Dimensions

Standard panel sizes vary from 1m×2m to 2.4m×6m, with custom lengths up to 6000mm and widths ranging from 100mm to 3600mm. Coiled mesh can be supplied in lengths of 10m to 50m for flexible installation.

Weight

Lightweight panels (8–15kg) facilitate easy handling and installation, while heavier-duty variants are engineered to support greater load capacities in structural applications.

Application Scenarios

Due to their strength, versatility, and durability, welded mesh panels are employed across diverse industries:

Construction

Widely used as reinforcement in concrete slabs, roads, bridges, and foundations, welded mesh improves structural integrity, reduces cracking, and cuts labor time by up to 50% compared to manual rebar tying. It also reinforces masonry and brick walls, ensuring optimal load distribution and long-term stability.

Industrial & Security

Serves as machine guarding, warehouse partitioning, and perimeter fencing, offering high impact resistance and unobstructed visibility for safety and monitoring.

Agriculture

Ideal for animal enclosures, poultry cages, and crop protection barriers, especially when equipped with corrosion-resistant coatings for prolonged outdoor exposure.

Other Uses

Applied in playground safety nets, airport security perimeters, and food-grade equipment, where its smooth, non-porous surface ensures hygiene and ease of cleaning.

Packaging

To ensure safe transport and maintain product quality, welded mesh panels are packaged using a multi-layer protection system. Panels are first wrapped in plastic film to guard against moisture and surface scratches. Smaller units are boxed in cardboard, while larger panels are secured on wooden pallets using steel strapping. Coiled mesh is wrapped in moisture-proof paper and packed in durable woven poly bags. Custom packaging solutions—such as waterproof cloth wrapping for coastal or marine shipments—are also available upon request to meet specific logistical and environmental requirements.
